When I moved here, I didn’t know a single soul.

That was so unusual for me.

This was the first time that’s ever been the case in my life. Even when I went off to university, I knew people from my apartment town who went there as well, but plus, I even knew my roommate so I had that comfort level during the first transport of my life. That’s where I have found such a wonderful atmosphere and vibe. It’s also where I’m meeting people and forming current friendships. I don’t take that for granted for a second. I had a long work week last week! I put in over sixty hours plus all I wanted to do was put an order into the recreational marijuana dispensary plus go home.

I walked in the door, plus my partner was already home. I kissed his cheek plus told him I was going to take a nap. Things tend to take a while to get to our end of town.

I don’t know if that’s so much a socioeconomic thing or just the way it turns out. Either way, I’m so cheerful that we have been able to welcome a new marijuana corporation to our corporation community. Our end of neighborhood is in the midst of some revitalization and I for one have been all in. I grew up in this part of the neighborhood and came back to invest in these people and our community. I have a small corporation that caters to all walks of life and I feel really connected to both the people and the corporation community here. It’s different from some of the other locales in our town and I’m cheerful about that. We are a diverse bunch with the same needs and wants as somewhere else in our city. But I guess it’s this feeling of community that runs the deepest for all of us. So when the local cannabis spot opened its doors, I was one of the first in line. While I’m not big on recreational marijuana, I cherish some sativa strains from time to time. No, the reason I was in line that afternoon with all those who have an absolute passion for cannabis was to welcome them. I’m getting more and more frustrated living in these times.

• For me, the division in our country is just so hard to take.

I’m in my mid 40’s so I don’t have a huge perspective as if I was in my 75’s. But even then, I’m not sure I would be comfortable with what’s going on in our culture. For those like me, having recreational marijuana access can be close to medicinal as well. I’m not so sure about the line between medical marijuana and recreational marijuana. Seems like cutting hairs in some cases. But for me, a bit of sativa products every so often really does help me maintain the positivity and hope that I believe we all need right now.

I can remember the afternoons when my buddies would be scraping resin from their pipe because they were out of recreational marijuana.

That’s not so much bragging as it is just a lucky truth. For some reason, once I learned how to cook properly with cannabis, I fell in love with it. My wifey taught me everything I need to know about baking. And then I turned to cannabis recipe books and videos when it came to infusing cannabis into those baked goods. The results have been even better than I could have imagined. And a great afternoon for me on the weekend is to get baking me some new sort of cannabis edible.

Helping people do more with their money is what I’m all about.

• Being a financial adviser was not my first career.

But when I made some money, I started investing it and found a passion.
