I like to have a variety of friends from different backgrounds, cultures, and creeds.
Maybe I’m alone in feeling this way, but it gets boring being around people who always think and feel the exact same way as you.
I want to try food that I’ve never seen before, or visit a cool neighborhood deep into the city that I wasn’t aware existed. It’s hard to experience the unexpected if you constantly surround yourself with people who are only capable of echoing back and mirroring the very thoughts and behaviors that you exhibit yourself. The only way is to push yourself out of a comfort zone and into situations that are both novel and instructive. I have a close friend who is very particular about how he likes to consume cannabis. He will only consume cannabis flower products, and he insists on using a dry-herb vaporizer. I have learned a lot about the negative side effects of smoking from this friend, as he explains that combusting any kind of plant material and inhaling it into the lungs is a bad idea for both short term and long term use. Although I’ll smoke from a joint or a bong if one is offered to me, I have switched over to using dry herb vaporizers because of my friend that is so adamantly against smoking anything and putting it in one’s lungs. I have to thank my friend, because I’m getting fewer respiratory effects from consuming cannabis while also getting more cannabinoids and terpenes in each and every dose of weed that I vaporize. I love using a vaporizer for my medical cannabis flower products.
