Medical marijuana is legal in more than two-thirds of the country, but a lot of people are still unfamiliar with the laws and regulations regarding cannabis, and in more than two-thirds of the country, residents can legally purchase medical marijuana products at legal retail outlets and stores.
I am lucky to live in one of the states where medical marijuana is legal.
I can actually certainly access many different medical marijuana products including dried smokable flower, tinctures, topicals, and ointments. It took a long time before medical marijuana was legalized in this state. In fact, the state voted several different times before the bill finally passed. I was one of the people that helped get that bill passed during the last election. I campaigned hard and I went door-to-door to inform people of the medical benefits that marijuana offers, but one of the biggest reasons why I joined the campaign is due to my own personal use of medical marijuana. I have used medical marijuana for a number of years and I knew legalizing the product would mean being able to access a variety of medications, and for a long time, I was worried that I might have to move to a different state just to have access to the medical products that I need. I had to buy medical marijuana on the streets like a criminal! When the bill finally passed, a lot of people including myself breathed a sigh of relief. All of us are now proud to be part of the more than two-thirds majority of the country that recognizes the benefits of medical marijuana on the body and mind.
