Switching over to edibles

Moving down south really messed up my lungs.

I know that I always had bad lungs, but once I moved here all the pollen and allergens in the air really kicked my butt. I had to spend a lot more time inside during the summer, lest I have a breathing attack of some kind. I also had to give up smoking pot. I know, don’t tell me that I never should have been smoking in the first place with these lungs, I am aware of that fact. What can I say, I love cannabis and I love getting high, so giving up that habit was not easy. Thankfully, I managed to switch over to edibles, and although they aren’t quite as satisfying as smoking cannabis, they do the job well enough. The good part about edibles is that for lack of a better term they “Scratch the itch” so that I’m not preoccupied with missing weed. Edibles give a nice physical high that affects my whole body, and help me to relax without inflaming my lungs. On the other hand, they don’t get me high like smoking cannabis got me high. Edibles are great for helping me go to sleep, but sometimes I don’t want to go to sleep. I want to get blazed out of my mind and play video games. Maybe those days are over, unless they come up with a new kind of smokeless cannabis that has the same kick as a fat joint or a bong rip. I may not have good cannabis, but at least I have my health.
