Although my neighbor Jimbo and I don’t see eye to eye on many issues, we have still become fast friends thanks to pot.
You know the old rule of thumb about not discussing religion or politics at the dinner table? Jimbo and I apply that rule to ourselves at all times, otherwise we end up in a shouting match.
When it comes to music, or movies, we can talk all day and not raise our voices, but we have to avoid those “hot” topics to keep the peace. We both need to keep the peace, because Jimbo is the one with the medical marijuana prescription, and I am the one who can get him to and from the cannabis dispensary. Jimbo is in a wheelchair, so just getting into the van is a tall order, so he could never make it to the cannabis dispensary without a lot of help. Of course he could just order online, or over the phone, and have the cannabis dispensary deliver it. They do offer free deliveries now for purchases of marijuana products over one hundred dollars, but Jimbo didn’t want to do that. He wanted to go into the dispensary in person, so he could see the different strains of cannabis before purchasing. Jimbo was a stickler for which kinds of cannabis he would smoke, so I would take him there once or twice a month. I don’t mind it, though, because despite his many faults Jimbo is very generous with his cannabis supply and usually shares just as much as he smokes!
