When my wife Helen died, I wasn’t so sure just how I was going to carry on.
- Helen got sick and passed away in just over 6 months.
It was as though I never particularly got the opportunity to even get my head around this whole thing. During Helen’s treatment, she used sativa and indica products to help her through. Helen and I had often used recreational marijuana when both of us were young. But both of us sort of put away the cannabis products once both of us started our careers and our family. However, while Helen was still living, it was nice to be able to share some of the sativa products with her. I think it was as great for me as it was for Helen. The cannabis products helped ease her pain and manage other aspects of Helen’s illness. For me, it helped me relax a bit and just take in every moment I had with Helen before she was gone. I ended up moving away once she died and my child recently came down to see me. My kid was a bit surprised when both of us swung by the local cannabis spot while out doing some shopping. I suppose that I particularly hadn’t thought it would be as big a surprise to my kid as it was that I was using a few different sativa strains for sale at the cannabis dispensary. But I think he’ll get over it and be able to see that this is something that I have found helps me to keep an even keel as I start this current chapter of my life.
