In my state dispensaries have to be vertically integrated

It was nice visiting my neighbor out west.

We haven’t seen each other in the years since school graduation, and he is making a name for himself as a marijuana grower.

Even before cannabis was recreationally legal in his state, he was growing a few plants for personal use. He read every single book he could get his hands on and scoured the internet for tips and advice for cultivating the healthiest and strongest plants possible. Now he’s a professional grower and supplies cannabis products to a number of different dispensaries. Even though my state has legal cannabis as well, the landscape couldn’t be more different. You can’t be a marijuana grower, or just a marijuana dispensary. All marijuana suppliers in my state must be vertically integrated to operate. That means they have to own the growing facilities, the processing and packaging, and the retail sales. That’s why we only have roughly 20 strange dispensary companies even though there are hundreds of marijuana stores statewide. There is even one marijuana producer who only sells through their delivery service. You can call or create an order on their website, which features their full cannabis product menu. I hate the fact that the companies have to operate like monopolies, but it sure beats buying sketchy cannabis off the black market from people I know I couldn’t trust. The vertical integration is frustrating, but the state also requires these companies to submit their products to third-party labs for testing. At the end of the day, I think that I’m not vaporizing a contaminated product and making myself sick in the process.

The cannabis Girl Scout Cookies give me mood swings

I remember reading High Times magazine as a weed-obsessed 18-year-old and marveling at all of the different strains available.

It seemed that cannabis genetics were endless in their varieties.

You might think that things have stayed that way with all of these new strain names emerging as time goes on, but they may not be nearly as different as one may think. There are a dozen or so coveted strains that are used to create the genetics for countless others. For instance, the sativa strain Jack Herer has resulted in Black Jack, Sour Jack, Jacky Girl, etc. Another popular example is the cannabis strain Girl Scout Cookies because it seems to be in everything these days. There’s Do-si-dos, Forum Cut Cookies, GMO, MAC1, Garlic Cookies, and many more. Unfortunately, these “cookie” strains give me mostly bad effects. I can’t explain it, but some of the ones I tried contributed to mood swings. I desperately wanted to like these strains, but instead I was forced to mostly avoid them. It doesn’t make a lot of sense to me, because the Girl Scout Cookies variant is derived from OG Kush and Durban Poison, two strains that I love. Maybe a day will come when I like cookie strains and can start purchasing them again, but until then I’ll stick to marijuana genetics that I know will work for me and my needs. For me, it’s hard to beat the weed strain Gorilla Glue #4, especially its descendent Gorilla Grapes! Without a doubt I always purchase Gorilla Glue when it’s available at a nearby dispensary. I don’t care if the THC content is high or not!

The climate control system needed some tweaking

I spent many long years working in the HVAC repair profession.

I worked for companies that didn’t value my knowledge or my ideas.

When I decided to start a contracting company of my own, things drastically changed for the better. One reason is due to the legalization of recreational cannabis. Recreational cannabis can be grown in a number of different places, but indoor cannabis has the best flavor and terpene profile. It always has a high amount of THC. In order to grow indoor marijuana, you have to be able to regulate the Heat and the humidity. Both are very important when growing plants like cannabis sativa. A few months after I opened my contracting business, I received a call from a farmer who grows medical marijuana. The farmer was having a terrible time controlling the moisture and the greenhouse and he wanted to consult with me to see if I had any ideas. That was the birth of my cannabis farm consulting business. I came up with a wonderful system that traps the excess moisture and delivers it to the plants with very little energy or waste. The farmer told some friends and other business acquaintances and my phone started to ring more often for cannabis consulting jobs. When I decided to grow the business and start a website, one of the main items I advertised was cannabis consulting on farming and climate control projects. Now I am the number search result online for cannabis farming and climate control experts.

I consulted for cannabis farmer and he gave me a huge plant

One person in particular was a cannabis farmer hoping to open a small shop on his property that sells edible cannabis Cookies, Cakes, and Pastries.

I always knew that I was going to be a lawyer. Both of my parents are lawyers. They both practice tax law. They always assumed that I would grow up and practice law as well. In fact, they believed I would eventually take over the family practice. I never thought of being anything other than a lawyer, but tax law sounded like an absolutely boring way to spend my life. While I was in college, I examined several different areas of the law that look interesting. I had an internship with a cannabis consultant. I spent a whole month working with cannabis consulting. We drove all over the valley speaking with different people about their cannabis concerns. Most of the folks had questions about opening dispensaries or cannabis-related businesses. One person in particular was a cannabis farmer hoping to open a small shop on his property that sells edible cannabis Cookies, Cakes, and Pastries. The consultant and I sat in the kitchen with the farmer and we had a slice of the most delicious blueberry pie that I have ever tasted in my life. When we were getting ready to leave after the consultation, the former presented both of us with small marijuana plants that were in pots and about 10 in tall. I thought it was a wonderful gift and I was looking forward to taking it home, but the cannabis consultant told me that we were not allowed to accept any gifts as they may look like a bribe to state or local officials. I understood, but I was disappointed I couldn’t keep the generous gift.

We went to the bar and the dipsnary that night

I like smoking pot and I was counting down the days until I could go to a recreational marijuana shop to buy legal weed.

My big brother and I were always very close. I was very sad and upset when he joined the military, because he wasn’t home much at all. He came back to the house before Thanksgiving and again at Christmas, but I didn’t didn’t see him for six months after that. The next time was a year in between our visits. My brother was 2000 miles away when I turned 21, but he surprised me on that day. He was standing outside of my apartment when I arrived. I was surprised and shocked and I didn’t know what to say. We shared a long hug in the doorway of my apartment. It might have been the first time that I cried really hard as a grown man. After we saw my mom and dad for dinner and drinks, my brother and I spent the night going to different bars and cannabis dispensaries. My dad was going to tag along until he found out that we plan to go to the cannabis dispensaries as well. I like smoking pot and I was counting down the days until I could go to a recreational marijuana shop to buy legal weed. My brother couldn’t smoke any cannabis, but he drank enough beers for the both of us. I was elated to share the experience with my big brother. I didn’t expect him to come home for my birthday and the surprise was something that I will never forget. Someday we’ll be old and grey and I will remind him about the greatest birthday of my life.

The best costume wins a prize this year

I like working at the cannabis dispensary.

All of the people are like a family.

It’s a great working atmosphere and I can be high all day without being judged or getting into trouble. The owner of the shop likes to have a lot of fun. The guy is always down for a good time. He often has prizes, contests, and giveaways throughout the year. This is my second Halloween working at the cannabis dispensary. Last Halloween, everyone in the store dressed up with elaborate costumes. I didn’t realize everyone was going to work so hard and I felt like a tool when I showed up with a simple witches hat and a cape. The owner of the cannabis shop had a special contest that day and the person that sold the most products won a trip to the haunted house about an hour from the location. This year the best costume is going to win a prize. I’m pretty sure that the owner of the cannabis shop is going to give the winner a Visa gift card. That was the prize the last time we had a contest at work. I could use some extra cash, especially right before the holidays. I’ve been working on my costume for the past month. I know there are a few other people working on theirs as well, so my costume has to be great. The cannabis shop is open on the day of Halloween from 8 a.m. until 10 pm. I might normally request this holiday off, because I don’t like crowds, but I am particularly excited for the costume contest. I really want to win the first place prize.

The new car was new to me

I spent six long months saving every penny, dime, and dollar so I could buy a new car.

  • I was working as a marijuana delivery driver, using the same car I bought when I was 17 years old.

The car had a lot of problems and they were getting worse every time I stepped into the car to deliver cannabis. I worked hard and saved every dollar. I didn’t go to eat at restaurants with my friends and I didn’t go to the movies unless it was a matinee. I missed out on a few concerts while I was trying to save for my new car. Thankfully, the tips are really good when you are a recreational and medical cannabis delivery driver. After six months of saving my money, I had $4,000 and plenty of money to start searching for my next vehicle. I was going to use the money as a down payment for a brand new car, but I didn’t really want a monthly payment. I found a two-door sedan that was sporty and fresh-looking. It needed a paint job, but I didn’t mind giving the car a little TLC. That guy gave me a break on the price and I took the car to a paint shop and they turned the rusty red car into a nice blue car with no rust and a new interior. The guy at the paint shop told me that the car was a great find, especially since it has low mileage. It should last several years, even if I use it everyday to deliver cannabis products.
