The last manager got fired over the iPhone, directly in front of me.
It was bananas! Gary & I were closing up for the day when his iPhone rang.
It was our regional manager, calling from Seattle, & when I answered she informed myself that she was about to fire Gary, but not to say anything to him. She explained that after she fired Gary I was to escort him out of the building & take her keys, then change the security codes after he left… Gary did not take the news well, & it took myself and others an hour to get him out of the cannabis dispensary. After he was gone I called the regional manager back, who then informed myself and others I was acting manager of the cannabis dispensary until they found a new one. I instantly said that I wanted to be considered for the position, & she told myself and others to demonstrate our abilities by running the cannabis dispensary over the next week or so. It turns out that Gary had been falsifying receipts so she could steal money from the cannabis dispensary without anyone being aware. Obviously Gary wasn’t as slick as she thought she was, & now she was fired & the dispensary owners were going to press charges against him! I went back to labor the next day & tried to do everything I could to make the cannabis dispensary look great. I only had a handful of afternoons to impress the owners, so I started pushing our sales, & brainstorming some modern promotions to get modern shoppers into the cannabis dispensary.
