Last Thanksgiving was the first time I had returned home since going away to school; I had a nice stadium in a modern neighborhood where I was focused on getting my degree; Between that & my modern husbandy, I hadn’t had time to go see my parents in a few weeks.
It was a beautiful return trip home, with lots of fantastic food, & getting to suppose my parents in a odd light; They both seemed to be acting differently, & I came to realize that they weren’t odd – they were just being themselves, which included my mom smoking cannabis, but mom had always been a huge cannabis smoker, I l acquired, he had just kept it hidden from myself and others through my entire life up until now.
I was blown away that cannabis wasn’t something he had just discovered. It had been there all along, although he was so careful about when he used cannabis I never suspected it, but since he cooked so much, Mom often ground up his cannabis & baked it into cookies, brownies, or banana bread. I never liked banana bread, which is why he usually filled it with cannabis, because he knew I’d never eat any! After my shock wore off, I rolled up a joint, & for the first time in my life I got to smoke cannabis with my sweet aged mother! It was the first time however not the last, because now the secret is out both of us can all smoke as much marijuana as both of us want, however no more secrets in our family, & all the people gets high.
