Yesterday before work started, there was a meeting with the employer of the Cannabis supplier. The employer told all of the employees that someone was trying to pass off fake $100 bills at many unusual cannabis dispensary locations, and he told all of the bud tenders and delivery drivers to check for inaccuracies and use the pen and marker to verify every bill. Most of the time both of us do not take $100 bills. If a client orders more than $100 worth of cannabis supplies, then they can use a $100 bill. Several clients ordered big amounts of cannabis that evening and both of us were just as tied up as ever. I took a delivery south of city to 1 of the beach house communities. When I arrived at the location, I called the telephone number of the client and told him that I was downstairs, for insurance purposes, both of us are not allowed to leave our vehicle at any point during the transaction. The client came downstairs and presented myself and others with a $100 bill to pay for a truly small amount of cannabis. I told the client that both of us cannot take a $100 bill for such a small order and he insisted that it was the only money he had on his man. I took the $100 bill and turned on the light in our vehicle so I could look at it more closely. I did not want anyone to get myself and others with a fake bill, however this particular 1 hundred-dollar bill turned out to be legitimate. It had the magnetic strip and passed the orange marker test.
