Way back when we first moved here, my wife and I briefly thought about being a cannabis grower.
The fact that we lived so remotely off in the wood would be a perfect setting for growing some marijuana. We weren’t looking to start a marijuana business or anything like that. Back then, just as it is today, marijuana in any form was illegal. But my wife and I enjoyed recreational marijuana and didn’t want to deal with all the shady stuff that came with procuring marijuana. So we thought that maybe we could just grow a few plants for our own consumption and give any excess away to dear friends. But once we did a deep dive on the consequences of growing marijuana in our state, that idea died on the vine. It was just too much risk so we had to go back to finding whatever cannabis we could. And much of the time we couldn’t even choose sativa or indica. We just got whatever we got. Plus we never really knew just what the THC content was either. It was this way for a long time until the neighboring state made recreational marijuana legal. Now, we take a trip out of town about once every six weeks or so in order to get to the nearest cannabis dispensary. It’s really a pretty fun time as we sort of live it up a bit. The nice thing is that the town where the local cannabis spot is has lots of other attractions. But we always find the time to enjoy sharing a cannabis edible and having a picnic in the sun.
