My friends and I went to a cannabis dispensary for the first time last week. We applied for our medical cannabis card, because it is the only way to access cannabis in this state. There are a couple of states that border this one and they all have recreational and medical marijuana. Still, the lawmakers dragged their feet on the issue. We’ve only had medical cannabis for the past two years and several states in the area have had medical cannabis for 10 or more years. After meeting with the doctor, it took eight business days before my friends and I received our medical marijuana cards. Jack was the last person to receive his card and we waited the extra day so all of us could visit the cannabis dispensary together. It was an incredibly neat and interesting experience. The cannabis dispensary had a lot of items available for sale. Many of the Cannabis products were dried flower, but they also had vape cartridges, batteries, Edibles, tinctures, and lotions. I was incredibly surprised by the selection and a little overwhelmed by all of the choices. I spent about 15 minutes talking to the dispensary budtender before I made up my mind and completed my purchase. It was my first time in the pot store and I had a great time. I don’t know what kind of selection the recreational states have, but I’m really glad to see lots of choices for medical patients. It won’t take long before everyone in the state is pushing for recreational weed to be legalized as well.
