Working as a medical marijuana nurse

I am a nurse with medical marijuana certifications, meaning I am someone who can assist patients in getting their medical marijuana ID cards! As I toil more and more with patients looking for benefits from medical marijuana, I have sought to learn as much as I can about it so that I can best serve my patients. When medical marijuana was legalized in the state in which I practiced, I knew I wanted to earn the necessary certifications so that I could help my patients. I see particular benefits for medical marijuana when it comes to appetite control and weight gain. It’s also helpful in reducing nausea and relieving pain. The benefits really are endless. When I obtained my medical marijuana certifications, I had to attend training sessions through an entity approved by the department of health. This training is known as Continuing Medical Education, and it is needed in order to register with the medical marijuana program in my state. While it was not required to obtain the certification, I also sought training in addiction medicine. I wanted to make sure that I was setting my patients up for successful and positive experiences with medical marijuana. I also engaged with peer-reviewed research to make sure I was following all best practices for medical marijuana use.
